This plate is for use in areas where you need low voltage cables passing through the walls but you have limited space such as behind a wall mounted flat screen TV. It is the trible gang wide pass-thru to allow much more cable then the standard single gang pass through. Great for areas where many cables are being run into one location. (ex: A stereo receiver with lots of speaker wire)
